Support is vital in helping

In May 1999, inspired by a five-month visit working with the Coprodeli children in Callao, long-time Chicago resident Thomas McDonald returned to the Windy City and established Coprodeli USA.  Mr. McDonald was vital in founding Coprodeli USA’s offices in the US. Registering it as a 501 (c)(3) and able to take in volunteers. The mission was clear, raise funds to support Coprodeli’s efforts in Peru. In Peru, Coprodeli efforts are what today is known as Our Programs: Education, People At-Risk, Humanitarian Aid, Employment & Job Training, and Habitat.

Operating in Chicago since 1999, Washington D.C. since 2007 and today with an in house Program Director based in Lima, Coprodeli USA’s  mission is to support the integral development work of Coprodeli in Peru with financial and in-kind donations, expert knowledge, volunteer participation, and other activities to provide for fundamental needs, promote education and job training, and develop strong self-sustaining community programs to diminish poverty and social exclusion in Peru.

Coprodeli USA’s work has been strengthened over the years with volunteer efforts and a growing network of individual supporters. Our institutional and corporate support network has also grown over the years allowing us to focus on these Corporate Social Responsibility to support Coprodeli’s mission.

2024 marks Coprodeli’s USA 25th year of having Coprodeli’s back. 25 years of provided funds, in kind donations, volunteers, and mission trips and if you missed or don’t recall the exact numbers the first time around, here they are again, but if you’re already familiar with them or our work, here’s some pictures to back those numbers.

Support is vital in helping people living in vulnerable situations.

For results to be seen, resources must be available and Coprodeli USA has dedicated itself in being that branch of support for Coprodeli’s mission in Peru and Ecuador.
Currently, through strategic partners and contributors, Coprodeli USA funds school construction and equipment, sponsors over 450 At-risk Youth and sends over $100K in In-Kind donations each year.

Growth

Since 1999, Coprodeli USA has be able to raise and support Coprodeli efforts with over $6M in School Construction, Child Sponsorship and Humanitarian Aid.
Registered in the state of Illinois as a 501(c)(3), Coprodeli USA has also provided over $1M in-kind support from strategic partners, has sent over 100 volunteer English Teachers from across the US and has successfully carried out over 50 week long mission/giving trips in Peru.

For At-Risk Populations

Coprodeli means someone on their side, someone to turn to, someone to recognize them and someone to welcome them it has allowed Coprodeli to serve them for over 30 years in Peru, and most recently, having expanded that same mission into Ecuador.

Through it all, Coprodeli USA’s commitment comes through in various ways. From taking a gap year to do volunteer English Teaching to participating in a week-long mission trip with your company. Coprodeli USA provides many alternatives for anyone to support the mission.
If this speaks to you, reach out, we’re happy to listen.
